Influenced by a formal
education in philosophy and literary critical theory, I work to examine
both the literal and subconscious language that shapes us and the world
in which we live.
Through dramatic use of movement, color, and scale I seek to unearth the
exotic and mystical nature of ordinary subjects, and expose the language
that defines them. My work reflects, on both a personal and human level,
the effects of physical, environmental, and emotional trauma on this
language.
While based in formal theory, there is a strong lyrical nature to the
work. This is most easily identified in the narrative element that is
pervasive in my most recent work but present in everything I’ve
created.

nationally and internationally. She lives in Dallas with her husband
Todd and works full-time as a photographer and painter.
